THE ONE CLONE COMPANYMy name is Heather Lawrence and I am a rookie animator experimenting with bits of paper and cameras. This site is all about my visual garble and this page is all about me. Hi!The One Clone Company is my animating alias, just a little something that stuck after a few years of animating. Seems a shame to give it up now eh?  I say I’m an ‘animator’ but realistically, I draw pictures and move them around for fun. I tape it and show it to people and hope for the best. Animation is universal and quirky and anyone can create an animation with whatever they like, and every animator is unique. I just happen to like pens and paper, that’s all. I’ve experimented with animation and drawing since I was a kid, but it’s only since about 2003 that I animated anything properly. Actually, that’s a lie. My first ‘real animation’ was in 2007 while studying at Northumbria University, and even then it was pretty shoddy. That said my stuff’s still pretty shoddy years later. But y’know, it’s all original, and the shoddiness adds to the charm.. or something like that. I’ll be bold and say that I believe the most important part of life is childhood. I remember my childhood fondly and the cartoons I watched and comic strips I read over the years have influenced me a lot. I’ve always hoped that one day I can give something back and join the great cartoonists and animators I adored as a kid, but needless to say I have to get good before I have any big dreams happen. Music is my biggest creative influence and I am a huge geek. If I had my way I’d be a much better animator making millions but my hands say otherwise, so until they give in I’ll be peddling my work eagerly awaiting my big break. In my spare time I do costuming and I enjoy sewing. I also love drawing, incase you hadn’t figured that already. I’m not a great artist (yet), but I do it anyway, not cause ‘practice makes perfect’, but because I’m too adamant to give up yet. I love feedback and every comment I receive, whether it's good or bad helps me with my work.
