Back Up TopFILMS & ANIMATION2011; HAT  Hat is a film currently in production, expected to be completed early May 2011. It is a simple, replacement-based animation about a little girl called Ailsa who loses her hat in the woods on her way home. Back Up Top2009; DISJOINT  Watch this video on YouTube: DISJOINT by TheOneCloneCompany DISJOINT is a short stop-motion animation inspired by newspaper cut outs. It was made as an experimental project combining camcorder footage and still photographs to create a jittery, 'disjointed' animation. The story is very basic and follows the lead character through different scenarios to a bizarre soundtrack. I didn't focus on story with this, mainly style. It was created to fulfill an animation brief as part of Northumbria University's Media Production degree. Back Up Top2009; MOUSE  Watch this video on YouTube: Mouse by TheOneCloneCompany Mouse is a short stop-motion animation about a little girl called Malice. She lives in 'Twilight Town' and is mocked by the Moon. Looking for a friend in this strange world, she meets a mouse. This was my first experiment with paper-based puppets and replacement. Malice herself was made from card coloured with markers and her eyes, arms, legs and body were all replacement parts. The mouse was also animated with replacement. The project was created to fulfill an animation brief as part of Northumbria University's Media Production degree. Back Up Top2008; PANIC ROOM  Watch this video on YouTube: Panic Room by TheOneCloneCompany Panic Room is a Photo Roman about a boy who runs away from home. This was collaboratively made with other students as part of Northumbria University's Media Production degree under the brief of "a man meets a woman", filmed 25 stills or less. I was the writer and editor for this project. Because of the 25 stills or less challenge conveying an effective story was difficult especially with pacing, and many scenes had to be cut. Back Up Top2008; CHASING DREAMS  Chasing Dreams is a 5-minute long documentary about Sabina, a Latvian woman living in Newcastle upon Tyne and her journey from home. This was collaboratively made with other students as part of Northumbria University's Media Production degree. I was the director and editor on this project, and also did some production jobs and liason. Back Up Top2008; DEATH BY CLUEDO  Watch this video on YouTube: Death By Cluedo by TheOneCloneCompany Death By Cluedo is a short film starring myself and 2 friends getting stressed and revenge-fuelled over a board game. It was a spontaneous job, but I must say for a last minute project I thought it was well executed! The project was created to fulfill an 2-minute film brief as part of Northumbria University's Media Production degree. Back Up Top2007; THE SORI APPEAL Watch this video on YouTube: The SORI Appeal by TheOneCloneCompany The SORI Appeal is a short, stupid NSPCC style advert created for a high-school friend. After leaving 6th form Rachel Issacson went AWOL so we sent out this appeal via e-mail to get back in contact. Surprisingly it worked. Back Up Top2007; JOHNNY THE GIANT SQUID  Watch this video on YouTube: Johnny the Giant Squid by TheOneCloneCompany Johnny the Giant Squid is a kind-of-sequel to Attack of the Giant Squid Thing, but this time made with stop motion instead of camcorder footage. It was a tragic retelling involving a deluded scientist and some plastic victims, where a squid mutates from a mysterious goo and takes over a nearby city. The project was created to fulfill an 30-second animation brief as part of Northumbria University's Media Production degree. Back Up Top2006; ATTACK OF THE GIANT SQUID THING  Watch this video on YouTube: Attack of the Giant Squid Thing by TheOneCloneCompany Attack of the Giant Squid Thing was my first real 'animation', using a mix of drawn pieces and shot footage. It was made in the style of a trailer as a pastiche and was pretty fun as a first film. The project was created to fulfill a film brief as part of Gosforth High School's A-Level Media Studies. The entire film was devised and shot by myself and Hazel Ray, the counterpart to the "Two Clones" Company. It was the done thing in 2006, apparently. The project was created to fulfill an advertising brief as part of Gosforth High School's A-Level Media Studies, created by myself and Hazel Ray, the counterpart to the "Two Clones" Company.
